Udang Rainbow Society is a non-profit organization that started an operation with the goal of helping Amta Block of Howrah in West Bengal to defeat poverty by providing assistance in different fields such as Water & Sanitation, health, and economic empowerment. Getting an education is crucial as it’s an investment in human capital and also a means to achieve SDGs 4 goals. Unfortunately, gaining access to a proper education is challenging to underprivileged children, especially for women and young girls in India as a result of poverty. Your support is needed to keep our initiatives going.
Without donors,programs could not be possible. The funds we received helped us start our Health care programme and primary We constructed toilets and digging Tube-well to end open defecation in the public health outreaches.
Orphan and vulnerable children who have either lost one or both parents live in extreme poverty with their guardians with little access to basic needs. UDANG Rainbow Society ' educational project covers children's school fees, tutorial lessons, after school meals, school uniforms and materials. UDANG Rainbow Society helps these children build a bright future through quality education and holistic care.
Older people in the age group of 60 years and above in difficult circumstance specially in the metropolitan cities. Immediate support and care of the family are not available due to many reasons ranging from economic instability of the family. UDANG Rainbow Society Oldage Care programme will be focus to those living in difficult circumstances through a Home-based holistic and integrated approach. Title of the project: Old Aged Home for Needy older Person General Approach of the Project:
- 1. Establishment of an Old Age Home for the older people aging 60 years and above to provide adequate facilities and to relief them both physical and emotional levels.
- 2. To create Homes that provides peaceful and comfortable living for the Old of above 60 years of age with food, shelter and clothing.
- 3. Home for aged persons of 60 years and above having no income and who are in desperate need for shelter, food.
UDANG Rainbow Society’s Eye Care programme is to help eliminate curable blindness by providing in low-income family of rural area affordable, accessible, sustainable, quality curative and preventive eye care services.
We believe that no one should suffer from blindness because they cannot afford the cost of treatment. Due to a high level of poverty in rural area, up to 2026, we will provide 80% of our surgeries free of charge to those who cannot afford the cost.
